JetPack mod that I've prepared for Paradise Atol map is back now on Friday Crazy Truths / Private Events. So anybody who joins can try it out and give it some time to train and master it. Yesterday on a 15th event there were 7 people flying it and it works good enough to make it public. The story is - that in 2015 I've prepared it for Paradise Atol map as first Beta version - because it was still a bit buggy and required a bit more skills to use it. Only one user besides me was flying it for 2 years. For last 2 years I wasn't doing anything about this JetPack because I wasn't sure I can fix all the issues. But this month I've decided to go back to the project and make it more usable, hader to kill and easier to fly. There are still rules that flyer has to agree on before flying - but it's much easier now. It looks different from first and third person perspective - but it's fine. Soon here will be video from yesterday's event with people flying it. It's more usable now and only 1-2 things left to solve. It's great fun already so anybody can try it now. Here is video of old version - 2 years ago - September: https://www.youtu...nLi2dWshRc ... |

Here's that BRAND NEW video from 15th edition of Crazy Truths / Private Event which was planned as JetPack testing event. Video is a bit long but that's because of many players there and conversations. The thing is this is v2 (2017) of this JetPack - improved a lot in comparison to version from 2015 but only in terms of being hard to "break" now, easier to take and launch - and the idea of "remote control" came up which made it controlable "by one hand" which makes player look a bit better in third person while using it (still the problem of 3 poses left here). So basically from the point of view of user - one hand control unlike the old one which required 2 hands. Also taking and launching is easier right now but flying works 100% the same. https://www.youtu...Py6H0XLdy4 ... |
