btw "only 1080p monitor"? Haha. Most of people still use 720p for gaming. Having higher res like 4K for games still doesn't make much sense now. Full HD is sharp enough.

I think 970 is best for you Honey. Probably next time I'll switch to GTX. After 4 years with HD 4870,6970,7970 I have enough of HEAT & Pow. Consumption of some HD..GPUs

Yes my HD 7970 uses ~200 W (tested) but my 6670 (have it on other PC) is 40 degrees COLD + uses 60 Watts! Is enough for Crysis 1,BF4, FC4. I'm not fan of GTX though

Just check my last year tests on PC killing map. For just 30 FPS more you have to pay 4x more for PC and 2x for electric energy: www.crysis1.com/PC

Yes gtx 970 only ~170 Watts. My HD 7970 = ~200 Watts in stress + the rest of PC ~170 = ~370 Watts !! for Crysis 1 VH. But second PC just 170 W (-40% FPS but enough)

I just hope that when I switch to some 50% faster PC. GPUs won't be as hot as fireplace anymore and won't consume power to illuminate 4 living rooms. It's insane.

Only thing I never liked about r9 290x is power consumption - up to 230 - 280 Watts. But only during HARD gaming of course At least it has the force.

You will be able to play my HQ maps with 80 FPS on Very High settings - and remember that Crysis 1 is still harder for CPU/GPU than new games.

I play on saturdays only 4-5 hours. I always enter one of my servers. Empty one. After 10 minutes there are 4-5 players. But WJ/CJ alone is also fun. Enter empty !
